All Systems Go For Billy Towards Nationals

A 20 mile off-road ride from the Downend store is planned, heading up to Lansdown Hill via off-road tracks and country lanes, returning via the cyclepath. If you decide to purchase on the day, exclusive special offers will be available, but remember, special offers are on the day only!
Ride departs approx 10.30am Return to store approx 2pm

Luke Wins Second Round of Gorrick – on Course for the Series

Whyte Racer Luke Smith is not one to rest on his laurels. After a superb third in the appalling conditions in Thetford forest he rode two races last weekend – a Surrey league road race on Saturday and the second round of the Gorrick MTB series Sunday where he was back to his winnings ways despite being taken off course by a wrong turn and having to fight back to the front from mid pack. Billy Wins Final Whyte Winter Race and gets Lap record

The final round of the Whyte Winter Series for this season was almost held underwater it was so wet. The appalling weather didn’t deter the hardy riders and Whyte racer Billy Whenman was on the podium with a win in the shortened four hour race on the day and a third overall. (His colleague Luke Smith rode to a superb third place on the day too – making it a double whammy for the Whyte lads!) Billy also won the Under 23 series.
To really rub in the boy wonder’s ability – in some of the worst riding conditions they have seen at Thetford he managed to record a record fastest lap. This is his report: (continue reading…)
